New E-mail system - The current e-mail system is going to be revised. One reason is to cut out junk mail being mass e-mailed from outside sources. There are other reasons as well.
Bulletin Board - Come check out Student Council's spiffy new bulletin board! The image in the background is of the merger between NYU and Bellevue Hospital.
Funding from downtown (from the Student Affairs Budget Advisory Committee) - Shirley has submitted a money request from downtown for various new medical school events.
Pancake Dinner - There will be a pancake dinner in January. It will cost $5.00 per person to get in. This money will be donated to charity. Come eat and be served from some of NYU's finest faculty. (Yes, Bogart himself might be serving you up some hot cakes!) Last year the money raised was given to Doctors Without Borders. If you recall Doctors Without Borders was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize earlier this year.
Update on CORE - CORE is off the ground! Issues that were discussed and will be immediately improved upon include library space, student health, student housing, and the North Shore Shuttle.
Update on Student Life Committee - Student Council is doing all it can to support the community service based clubs on the campus.
Child Care - If you are a full time graduate student with children under 6 years old you might be eligible for up to $400/year for child care expenditures and emergency back up child care. Please contact Shirley if you have any questions.
Heating and Cooling - If you have problems with the temperature regulation in this building (especially in places like Alumni Hall C) you can call 263-5275 to have it remedied.
