Old Business:

Study Space update: The meeting with Dr.Cohen was discussed. He sincerely recognized the problem with study space but voiced that he inherited the situation, giving him very little choice but to satisfy the child psych. group with Alumni Hall C. He encourages the compromise with the 15th floor being guaranteed to the students until Alumni Hall C is ready for student use. He discouraged the use of the rumored threats. He tried to illustrate his distinctiveness from past administrations and his desire to improve relations between students and the administration. Discussion on the meeting showed many council members satisfied with the Dean's effort at explaining the situation, others voiced doubts that this administration is any different than the rest as far as broken promises go.

New Business:

New Club Proposal: $300 budget for musical purchases/distribution and $40 misc. office supplies approved for the Muscle Tones.

Funding Request for Outing Club: Proposal passed 9:3:1 to transfer funds for future trips to this current paintball trip and to refuse an additional grant of money just for the current trip. The outing club was originally asking for about $600 extra in funds.

Student Council Dinner: For old and new members on Nov. 18th at 6:15.

Holiday Party: Last year's was a fake casino event. Council members for the most part agreed to a more traditional holiday theme this time.

Housing Update: New committee by Steve Drogas (Pres. HR). Long range/term housing committee with student/faculty/staff/nurse/and graduate student representation. It will probably start after January, chaired by Dean Lesser and /or Dean Leven.

Med Center Happy Hour: Nov. 12th

Meeting with Dr. Oliva: Oct. 30th
