Class Announcements

Class of 1999
Party soon.
AOA listing is due soon, again.

Class of 2000
Site Selection forms last week.
Question about how long to accept change requests and whom should get them. Conclusion: only accept request from those whom have done at least four weeks at North Shore.
Scheduling conflict between switch party and school mixer with other grad schools on Nov. 6th. Resolved to have better communication in the future.

Class of 2001
Clerkship meeting scheduled on November 2nd.
Ice skating at Rockefeller center next Monday.
Cheetah party Nov. 6th.
Christmas party at Bombay Palace.
Working with 1st years on Halloween party.

Class of 2002
Anatomy exam party at Sapphire lounge was a success.
Science sub-committee has been formed.
Survey of MGB at other schools will begin.
Swing party at World Trade center was a success.
Pancake dinner scheduled for Monday November 16th.
Study space intrusion by dental students.

MD/PhD

Old Business:

3-on-3 Basketball Tournament: Raised $250 for City Harvest.

Alumni Hall C: Construction will be done Friday. Furniture to come.

New Business:

  1. Presentation by Dean Glickman, Dean Levin and Dean Lesser. Dean Glickman gave introduction; he stated how he would work to complete our goals for the future as he had previously discussed with Eric.

    Students introduced themselves.

    Eric Silver reiterated our desire to restart CORE or a group like it to address the student problems. Now that the merger is complete is shouldn’t be a problem.

    Dean Levin introduced himself and the LCME. His agenda was in the LCME reaccreditation document.

    Perform a student survey soon

    There is a list of musts and shoulds that the school will address.

    Representatives should organize a meeting to get the entire student’s input.

    Eric asked that the invited guests please decide if want to join the committee by the end of the week so that they can be finalized

  2. Who has access to the Fishbowl? Consensus is both Grad students and Medical students.

  3. New Health Coverage.

  4. Fill out forms for New Orleans conference.
