MD/PhD
The National MD/PhD meeting in Aspen was interesting, informative and beautiful.
Congratulations and good luck to Sheronda as she heads to law school.
Sound Equipment - Steve has looked at the equipment and has determined that all of the equipment with the exception of two speakers works. He said those speakers are too expensive to fix to be cost feasible. He also warns that the possible problem is due to the fact that the amp can deliver too much power to the speakers and thus cause them to blow. All future users should be warned about this problem.
Rubin Lounge - New basketballs, nets, ping pong paddle and ping pong balls have been purchased. In addition, the tips of the pool cues are being fixed now. Other repairs, including replacing the TV, are scheduled for the end of the summer.
Advising - A committee on Advising including both students and Deans will begin meeting next week to discuss MedCAREERS and other ways to improve advising.
Student Health - We will look into rumors about student health moving to another location.
Budgeting - Minimal progress was made with out quorum.
