The Match will take place on March 16 at 12 noon. Seniors will be meeting outside Farkas auditorium. There will be a match party later that evening from 8:30-11:30. There will be an open bar and snacks. If you want to bring guests it will cost you $15 per guest if you pay in advance, $25 at the door and you will be allowed only 2 guests per person. Invitations will be sent out next week. RSVP the invites to Don and Carol. The deadline is March 6.
Seniors will be able to order commencement tickets over touch tone telephone beginning March 20.
Mike would like to inform the seniors who are doing their sub-I's right now that the chief residents have been talked to and you will be getting off at 9pm and people will be called in to cover for you.
Class of 2001
Sub-I sites are posted on the Student Council bulletin board. Make sure to have a look.
On March 21 there will be a town hall meeting for the class of 2001. Dean Glickman will be attending.
On March 30 there will be a class meeting with members of the class of 2000.
Class of 2002
On Thurs., March 30 at 8:30am there will be a practice session for entering the clerkship lottery in the Carlisle computer room. Felix will send out an email.
Class of 2002 housing lottery will take place tomorrow (March 15) at 8:30am.
Class elections for next year will be held on April 10 at 6:30pm. The room has yet to be announced.
Class of 2003
Class elections will be held on April 5 in AHB at 6pm. We hope to see you all there.
Class of 2003 housing lottery is taking place on March 31 at 3pm.
MD/PhD
The greater New York MD/PhD conference will be taking place soon. Sign up and contact Jeremy (not Dave) with questions.
Remember that the Spring Formal date is fast approaching! Get your tickets at Don and Carol's office ASAP. There will be a cap on the number of people who can attend!
Speaker Funds - Martina Smit and Tim Wong requested extra money to cover speakers on behalf of the AMSA, AMWA, AMA and the Christian Fellowship respectively. They were both approved 14-0-1 and 12-0-4 (for-against-abstain).
Update on CORE and Dean's meeting - All the necessary committees have been set up. There will be another meeting this month to see how things are getting along. Things like how to wire Skirball and fixing the fire exit and backdoor of AHC are being focused on. Elizabeth Gordon has taken on the task of coordinating how to make the medical school look cleaner. Reducing the class size to 130 students was also brought up as a discussion point.
Rubin Lounge - AMWA's request to use the Rubin lounge Thurs. night (March 23) for their new student weekend was approved.
Dean of Student Affairs - As Dean Lesser will be leaving us soon, Dr. Mariano Rey has been appointed the new Dean of Student Affairs.
