Class Announcements:

Class of 1998
Great switch party at Gingerman's last week.
Match lists almost all in.

Class of 1999
Early match ENT/GU dinner with a resident from each specialty

Class of 2000
Upcoming class meeting about possible Neuro/Psych clerkship merger.
Also upcoming meeting with 3rd years about studying for boards.

Class of 2001
Clothes sale this week.

NEW BUSINESS:

NTSA: The new club came to appeal for more funds. They claimed that approximately 50 students and 10-20 significant others were interested in the club, according to e-mail responses. They appealed for the following things and the vote for each went as following:
  1. $200 for an organizational meeting to elect officers, etc. voted down 6-7-3
  2. 2 more IOI dinners in addition to the one already granted (normally clubs are only granted 2 for the whole year) ..voted down 6-7-3
  3. $150 for new officers dinner voted in 7-6-3
  4. IOI officers' lunch meeting once a month with snacks voted in 10-3-3-.

Old Business:

Computers: Sudden closing of Carlyle Computer room is currently being protested by the Student Council.

Clerkship Meeting with Dean Abramson: Surgery finally may have a summer clerkship. Also, this will allow for less students in other blocks for better redistribution. Proposed numbers indicate that 2/3 may have the opportunity to have a clerkship in the summer.
