NEW BUSINESS:

New Items for Agenda: Office Computer: A proposal passed to get a new computer at cost with only one dissenting vote.

Curriculum Committee Report: Dr. Manley(Psych) and Dr. Henley(Neuro) want to link the two clinical courses. The combined course would become a single 10 week block instead of the separate 6 and 4 week blocks respectively. Students will still have the freedom to start with either one. New additions include lengthening the clinical experience for both over the full 10 weeks. Also there will be an interdisciplinary lecture series once a week. There will possibly be eliminations of certain unfavorable off-site locations. Council members voiced concern over the following:

  1. Some students will be off-site with a full 10 week slot at North Shore.
  2. Loss of flexibility in scheduling.
  3. 3rd and 4th years stated that more clinical experience was not necessary and that making the existing clinical experience more beneficial was the more important point.

Old Business:

Housing: Meeting on Feb. 12th. Rent Increase will be 3% across the board.

Computers: Council members voiced that off-campus access to server is poor and terminals for printing are rarely available.
