Class Announcements

Class of 2000
People should confirm and pick up their ACLS training course materials at Bellevue. If you do not confirm your date then you will be dropped from the class. You have up to 10 days before the class starts to confirm. Also, if you confirm your date and then decide not to show up $300 will be billed to your bursar account.

The next class meeting will occur Feb. 3 in the student cafeteria at 6pm. The meeting will pertain to last minute issues concerning completion of rank lists. People interested in being on the senior week committee should attend the class meeting.

There will be a match party on March 16 from 8:30-11:30. There will be an open bar and snacks. If you want to bring guests it will cost you $15 per guest. Invitations will be sent out shortly.

Class of 2001
No new announcements.

Class of 2002
There will be a school-wide mixer (meaning all classes are welcome to attend) with the NYU Law School on Feb.17. The place and time will be announced shortly.

There will be a link set up from the student council website for the clerkship lottery.

Class of 2003
No new announcements.

MD/PhD
The MD/PhD program and student council wishes to congratulate our own David Poppers on successfully defending his thesis. Woohoo!

Old Business:

Ski-Trip - An alternate trip is being planned for the last weekend in February. We hope that this will please some of the people who were unhappy about not being able to attend the trip planned for Jan.26-28. Preference will be given to those students who did not go on the first trip.

E-mail system - We are making progress towards having the new e-mail system set up.

Spring Formal Update - Manish has been putting together the formal. It is coming along well. Student council discussed places and prices. It will take place in March or April. Keep your eyes and ears peeled.

New Business:

Nicole/Rubin Lounge - The third year class wanted to have sub sandwiches and beer from 11am-1pm in the Rubin lounge as part of their switch party on Jan.28. Student council approved the use of the lounge.

Party Notification/Manish - Manish notified student council that he is throwing a party on Feb.26 at Metronome. This is not a student council sponsored event.

JSA - We approved the use of Rubin Lounge on Monday, Jan.31 at 8:30 for JSA's study break. They will have ice cream and fruit.
